The famous work of Sabahattin Ali, one of the well-known names in Turkish literature, Madonna in a Fur Coat, which was serialized in the Hakikat newspaper between 1940-1941 under the title “Büyük Hikaye” (Great Story) and published as a book in 1943, is being adapted for the big screen. According to the news report by journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the Madonna in a Fur Coat project, which was previously said to be prepared as a series project on a digital platform, was changed to be a feature film. It was stated that Enes Ateş will sit in the director’s chair of the Madonna in a Fur Coat film, whose script was written by Mert Dikmen. It was said that the Madonna in a Fur Coat film, which will be adapted for the big screen in partnership with Fikri Harika Productions, Tme Films, Prt Films and the German production company CAB Film, will be shot in Turkey and Germany. The film is expected to meet with moviegoers in 2025.
