 Museum of Innocence Tour was Held


IGU Department of Turkish Language and Literature visited the Museum of Innocence as part of the "Postmodernism" course.


Within the scope of TDE431 Postmodernism course, which is one of the elective courses of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, taught by Şerefnur Atik, a trip to the "Museum of Innocence" was held on Friday, December 17, 2021. It was aimed that the students who read the novel The Museum of Innocence in the course visited the museum with the ticket included in the novel, to better understand the novel and experience a literature museum.
 
The Museum of Innocence, located in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, was designed by Orhan Pamuk as an element of the novel. Pamuk, who has prepared the novel and the museum together from the very beginning, published his novel in 2008 and opened the museum in 2012. Objects and belongings mentioned in the novel and/or the characters of the novel collected by Orhan Pamuk are exhibited in the museum.
