 The Novel "Lovers' Day" Adapted to Film


The novel Lovers' Day, written by Kemal Varol, was adapted into a movie by Netflix. The trailer of the movie starring Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Settar Tanrıöğen has been released. The movie, which bears the same name as the novel, will be released on Netflix on September 2.


Written by Kemal Varol, winner of the 5th Attilâ İlhan Novel Award and 2019 Dünya Kitap Copyright Book of the Year awards, Lovers' Day has been adapted into a film by Netflix. The movie, starring Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Settar Tanrıöğen, written and directed by Özcan Alper, is scheduled to be screened on September 2.
 
In the film, Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ plays Attorney Yusuf, and Settar Tanrıöğen plays Yusuf's father, Heves Ali. The film tells the story of the father and son, full of regret, anger, curiosity and longing. Attorney Yusuf and Heves Ali cross paths on their long journey after 25 years of separation. In this journey, father and son try to solve their problems with their past and their future on the other hand.
