 The World Famous Novel of Zülfü Livaneli is Adapted to a TV Series


It has been announced that Zülfü Livaneli's novel "Engereğin Gözü" (The Eye of the Viper), which has been translated into seven languages and won the Balkan Literature Award in 1997, will be adapted into a TV series.


Engereğin Gözü (The Eye of the Viper), published in 1996 by famous musician and novelist Zülfü Livaneli, is being adapted into a TV series as "Harem". The award-winning novel, which has been translated into seven languages ​​so far, is about the 17th century Ottoman Harem-Sultan relations and their fight for the throne. The novel, which deals with the theme of absolute power, was inspired by true story.
 
"Engereğin Gözü" (The Eye of the Viper) is a novel that has both historical and psychological aspects. In the novel, the story is shaped around the Queen Mother, who wants to rule the country herself and risks everything for this ambition, cannot bear to be under the command of another woman or another man, and for this reason she embarks on a struggle for the throne with her own son.
