 Turkish Journalists Association 45th Sedat Simavi Awards Announced


Journalists, cartoonists, literature, sports and scientists who won the Turkish Journalists' Association (TGC) 2021 Sedat Simavi Awards have been announced. Orhan Pamuk was awarded the prize in the field of literature for his latest novel, In Nights of Plague


The awards, which have been given for 45 years on behalf of Sedat Simavi, the Founding President of the Turkish Journalists' Association (TGC), found their owners this year. Nobel Prize-winning author Orhan Pamuk has won an award in the field of literature this year, among the awards given in the fields of journalism, television, radio, cartoons, literature, social sciences, natural sciences, health sciences and sports.

In Nights of Plague, published by Yapı Kredi Publications in March 2021, is about the plague epidemic.
