 “Dile Kolay” Podcast Series Meets with Listeners on Digital Platforms


The podcast series named "Dile Kolay: Conversations on the Relationship of Language to Culture", prepared by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), was broadcast on digital platforms.


“Dile Kolay” podcast series, which aims to discuss current issues around language by looking at Turkish from the perspective of culture; It was released on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Deezer and İKSV YouTube channel. Every week in the series, with different guests who are experts in their fields, science, art, health, gender, climate crisis, artificial intelligence, etc. The relationship between many subjects and language is discussed.
 
The guest of the first episode focusing on the past of the Turkish language in the podcast series is Prof Dr Mehmet Ölmez, Head of the Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures at the Faculty of Literature at Istanbul University. Writer and translator Yiğit Bener is the guest of the second episode in which the recent past and present of Turkish is spoken. The guests of the third episode, which focused on the translation and editing of non-literary texts, were Metis Publications editor Savaş Kılıç and YKY Cogito Magazine and translator Şeyda Öztürk, editor of the series of thought books. The series, which is planned to consist of 12 episodes, is expected to release a new episode every Thursday in February and March.
