In his message, Prof. Dr. Şahin emphasized that the August 30 Victory, a turning point in our nation’s struggle for independence and sovereignty, is celebrated with pride and enthusiasm, stating:

“This victory, achieved by the faith, courage, and sacrifice of our noble nation, is the most honorable example of the struggle for homeland, flag, and independence. August 30 is the day when the Turkish nation declared to the whole world that it will never bow to any force, and that it can overcome every challenge with national unity and solidarity. We will continue to keep this sacred legacy alive through our academic efforts, and remain determined to raise young generations who are committed to their homeland, nation, and values.”

At the end of his message, Rector Şahin commemorated Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all martyrs with gratitude and mercy, and expressed his appreciation to the heroic veterans, adding: “Happy August 30 Victory Day.”
