“On the 102nd anniversary of the proclamation of our Republic, we once again experience the pride and honor of the struggle for independence that our ancestors won at the cost of their lives. The Republic, established through the determination, perseverance, and faith of our nation, is one of the strongest foundations that paved the way for independence, national will, and the ideal of a modern Turkey.”

Highlighting the importance of preserving and strengthening the achievements of the Republic, Şahin underlined that they will continue to work towards a stronger Turkey guided by science, production, and innovation:

“We regard carrying this great legacy further—with the goal of a Turkey that leads in science and excels in production—as a national duty. Through our efforts in education, research, and innovation, we strive to strengthen the achievements of our Republic and to leave a brighter future for the next generations.”

In his message, Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin also commemorated Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic, and all heroes who fought for the homeland, with respect, gratitude, and mercy, concluding his statement with the words: “Happy Republic Day.”
