Istanbul Gelisim University has added another achievement to its successes in academic production and innovation. The invention titled "Adaptive and Self-Reshaping Unmanned Aerial Vehicle," developed by Assoc. Prof. Ayşe Meriç Yazıcı, a faculty member and vice head of the Department of International Trade and Business at the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, has been registered and granted a patent by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.

The developed unmanned aerial vehicle is designed as an adaptive system capable of adapting to varying environmental conditions and rearranging its structural form according to mission requirements. This innovative approach is considered to offer effective potential for use in many fields such as the defense industry, disaster and emergency management, logistics operations, and environmental monitoring.

Assoc. Prof. Ayşe Meriç Yazıcı's work exemplifies interdisciplinary innovation by combining flexible and sustainable engineering solutions with autonomous system technologies. Patent registration contributes to strengthening the university's research and development capacity, while also making a valuable contribution to Türkiye's advanced technology manufacturing capabilities.
