In order to plan the goals of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (İİSBF) for 2021 and to direct the publication policy, the publications of our academic staff between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020 were scanned in 4 index groups. In this screening, the scoring and publication types included in the October 2020 associate professorship application criteria were taken as basis. The FEASS 2020 Publication Report, which was created as a result of this screening, was published on the web page of our Faculty.
In the report, 95 articles published in journals under the type of SSCI, SCI, SCI-E, AHCI, 78 in the International Domain Index ISI (ESCI and SCOPUS) indexes, 33 in the ULAKBIM index and 78 articles in other indexes within the scope of academic studies carried out in IGU FEASS in 2020.
When the number of articles published in other indexes classified as 1D of the departments within the FEASS was examined, it was seen that the Advertising Department ranked first with 13 articles.
In the report, lecturers with the most articles according to the publications made in these directories are listed and it was seen that Assist. Prof. Dr. İpek Sucu was at the top of the list with 9 articles. Among these 9 articles, it was seen that Assist. Prof. Dr. İpek Sucu was the first author in 8 articles and she was the second or third author in 1 article. At the same time, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dikme shared the second place with Assist. Prof. Dr. Adnan Duygun from the Business Department with 5 articles in this list. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dikme was the first author in 5 of these 5 articles.
In this report, the book or book chapters, conference papers and projects of the lecturers working within the faculty were examined and a total of 74 book / book chapters, 38 papers and 17 scientific projects were identified throughout the faculty.
When the writers of books or book chapters are examined, it was seen that Assist. Prof. Dr. İpek Sucu shared the first place with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Remziye Köse Özelçi from Radio, Television and Cinema Department with 5. When the faculty members who participated in the most International / National Scientific Meeting Activities were examined, it was seen that Assist. Prof. Dr. İpek Sucu was the second with 3 papers and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dikme was the third with 2 papers.
Finally, the scores obtained from the articles and the book / book chapters were calculated based on the scoring method in the associate professorship application conditions in the report. According to this calculation, in line with the academic studies carried out in the FEASS in 2020, the top five faculty members who collected the most publication points in the faculty were listed and Assist. Prof. Dr. İpek Sucu made it into the top five with a total of 76 points.
