Head of Advertising Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dikme and Deputy Head of Advertising Department Asst. Prof. Dr. İpek Sucu's joint article "Socio-Psychological Reflections of the Covid-19 Pandemic with the Dimension of Interpersonal Communication" was published in the Journal of Social, Humanities and Administrative Sciences.


Dikme and Sucu have argued in their articles that the socio-psychological effects experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic process closely affect the relationship between both individual and social levels in interpersonal communication. According to Sucu and Dikme; “Due to the challenging life of the Covid-19 process in interpersonal communication, there has been an increase in the levels of uncertainty and social anxiety for the future in individuals. It is seen that individuals experience intense anxiety in terms of self-sensitivity and psychological resilience in the face of psychological symptoms caused by compelling life events in interpersonal communication and traumas that will make their effects felt for many years.

Dikme and Sucu carried out this study in order to examine how individuals are affected by self-sensitivity and psychologically in the context of the literature during the Covid-19 pandemic process. In addition, in this study, a study was conducted within the scope of literature review on how the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on interpersonal communication in socio-psychological aspects were reflected, and the strategies that could be applied in the communication dimension were examined. As a result of their research, they revealed that the Covid-19 pandemic process affects the anxiety disorders of individuals in their interpersonal communication, psychologically, socially and psychologically in their social lives.
