Sucu and Yavuz conducted this research in order to present how people try to solve their social communication through social media, in order to bring social media to the agenda as a topic in cinema studies aimed at satisfying the feeling of loneliness in their articles. In this research, they examined the film "Side Window" (2011) with the method of film analysis, within the framework of the impact of urbanization and the virtual world offered by modern life on the feelings of loneliness, life satisfaction and habits of individuals.
As a result of the researches of Sucu and Yavuz, it was concluded that people living in urban culture see social media as an important tool in satisfying their feelings of loneliness.
