 The Effect Of Sora, The Artificial Intelligence Technology That Converts Texts Into Videos, On Advertising


Artificial intelligence company OpenAI made a big splash with its video production technology called Sora, which it recently introduced. This new artificial intelligence technology, which converts written text into video, is used in advertising, movies, games, videos, etc. in creative sectors with the level of reality it has reached. It amazed everyone who produced it. OpenAI had previously created a similar effect with Chat GPT.


In the last few years, artificial intelligence technology has reached a point where it can produce photographs, drawings, and poems as if they were made by human hands, upon command. Sora was introduced as a technology that converts written text into video with great realism. In this context, artificial intelligence started to produce very realistic videos for the first time. It was announced by OpenAI that users can produce one-minute-long videos. Sora, which is not yet available to everyone, is being tested by designated professionals to prevent any dangers that may arise. In this context, efforts continue to prevent the production of harmful content. Therefore, Sora is currently available primarily to people dealing with visual content such as cinema, advertising, and design.

Many social, political, and economic factors have changed and transformed advertising from the past to the present. Apart from these, one of the most important factors affecting advertising production is technology. As technology develops, new tools have been included in advertising production and new advertising areas have been opened. Tools such as the internet and new media platforms have been frequently used by advertisers in recent years. As Kotler stated, with the inclusion of artificial intelligence in our lives, the Marketing 5.0 era has begun. In this new era, users communicate with artificial intelligence and advertising is shaped in this context. In the future, as Sora becomes available to more users, we will be able to see written texts turn into very realistic advertisements. This shows that Sora will be an artificial intelligence technology that will be frequently preferred by brands in advertising production in the future.
