Visit from Our Graduate
A meeting was held in our Advertising Department with one of our graduates, Ayşenur Solak. During the meeting, evaluations were made regarding the current state of the department, course content, the position of graduates in the industry, and potential areas for future development.
Main points discussed during the meeting:
• Our graduate stated that the theoretical and practical courses she took in the department made significant contributions to her professional development. She was informed about the new curriculum changes and expressed her approval. However, she also suggested that updating some course contents to include more topics such as digitalization, artificial intelligence, and social media strategies would be beneficial.
• She emphasized that enhancing the university’s career support, portfolio development, and industry connection opportunities would strengthen graduates’ employability.
• She expressed her satisfaction with the overall atmosphere of the department and its academic staff, adding that organizing more frequent meetings between students and graduates would help increase motivation.
• Additionally, she mentioned that increasing the department’s visibility on social media would benefit both current students and graduates.
Following the meeting with our graduate, it was decided to make improvements regarding the department’s current state, course content, and the position of graduates in the industry. It was also decided to update certain course contents to include more topics related to digitalization, artificial intelligence, and social media strategies. Furthermore, steps will be taken to enhance career support, portfolio development, and industry connection opportunities for graduates. Finally, efforts will be made to increase the department’s visibility on social media.
