Message from the Head of Department to Our Students

 

Dear Students,

 

Our Department, which started its educational activities in the Fall Semester of the 2016-2017 Academic Year under the name "International Business and Trade Department" at Istanbul Gelişim University Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, and later changed its name to "International Trade and Business Administration" and opened its English program in 2024, accepted its first students in the Fall Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year and continues its educational activities with the aim of meeting the needs of businesses operating in the field of international trade and business administration, especially by providing well-equipped personnel with the ability to analyze problems and find solutions, in line with the requirements of the age.

 

To train personnel needed by businesses engaged in international trade, our department offers courses in business administration, accounting, e-business and commerce, financial management, mathematics, foreign trade, business law, entrepreneurship and SME management, management and organization, strategic management, digital marketing, global economy, occupational health and safety, logistics and supply chain management, conflict and crisis management, and similar subjects. We also provide our students with the opportunity to complete voluntary internships.

 

In addition to pursuing academic careers, our graduates can work as export and import specialists in national and international businesses operating in both the public and private sectors; and as managers in production, marketing, accounting-finance, human resources, public relations, and similar departments.

 

In short, we would be delighted to see you in our department – ​​those who wish to work in businesses operating in the field of international trade and business, who will enter the workforce more knowledgeable, skilled, and mature in their behavior after graduating from our department, and who will be able to produce creative and original work.
