Assoc. Prof. Ayşe Meriç Yazıcı's Article Published in Sustainable Development, One of the World's Leading Sustainability Journals

Assoc. Prof. Ayşe Meriç Yazıcı, a faculty member of the Department of International Trade and Business, co-authored the article titled "Uncovering Nonlinear Dynamics Between Green Bonds and the SDGs: Evidence Across All 17 Goals" with Assoc. Prof. Derya Yayman from Akdeniz University, Dr. Münevver Bayar from the Social Security Institution of Türkiye, and Assoc. Prof. Osman Yılmaz from Batman University. The study has been published in the internationally renowned journal Sustainable Development.

The research examines the nonlinear effects of green bond issuance on all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across 14 countries that pioneered the green bond market between 2014 and 2023. Employing advanced econometric methods, the study makes a significant contribution to the literature on sustainable finance by providing comprehensive evidence on the relationship between green bonds and sustainable development.

The journal Sustainable Development, in which the article was published, is recognized as one of the world's leading academic journals in its field. It is ranked:

  • 1st in the world in Development Studies,
  • 4th in the world in Regional and Urban Planning,
  • Classified as an SSCI Q1 journal with an Impact Factor of 8.2.
