Assoc. Prof. Ebru Gül Yılmaz Evaluates Critical Changes in U.S. Trade Policy on EKOTÜRK TV
Assoc. Prof. Ebru Gül Yılmaz, faculty member of the Department of International Trade and Finance and Director of IPUAM, appeared as a guest on the "Küresel Bakış" (Global Outlook) program broadcast on EKOTURK TV, where she assessed the critical changes in U.S. trade policy.
As of July 24, a significant change in U.S. trade policy came into effect. The 150-day statutory period of the 10 percent general global tariff, which had been implemented since February under Section 122 of the U.S. Trade Act of 1974, expired. In its place, a new country-based tariff regime, grounded in Section 301 of the same act, began to be implemented.
