Fourth Event of the Authoring Platform Series Held

The fourth session of the "Authoring Platform" event series organized by the Language, Thought and Literature Club of IGU Department of Turkish Language and Literature was held online on Friday, 21.05.2021, between 20.00-22.00. Faculty members of IGU Turkish Language and Literature Department, members of the Language, Thought and Literature Club, and students of the department and those outside the university attended the event.
 
In the first part of the event, Suat Akyel, student of IGU Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, explained his recently published book "Kaçış." Akyel shared the writing story of his book and how he started writing with the participants.
 
In the second part of the event, the discussion moderator Asst. Prof. N. Gamze Ilıcak made a presentation about the fairy tale genre and gave information about the "rewriting" of the fairy tale. Ilıcak gave the example of rewriting the Snow White fairy tale through Murathan Mungan's book "40 Oda" and then told "Salt Tale." Participants wrote various papers on the theme of "salt" in the remaining 20 minutes of the event. The event ended after reading and evaluating the papers.
