 Content Marketing Camp

In the "First Content Marketing Camp" organized by Istanbul Gelisim University Futurism Club, 25 students came together to generate their own projects during the weekend.

In the "First Content Marketing Camp" organized by Istanbul Gelisim University Futurism Club, 25 students came together to generate their own projects during the weekend.
 
Istanbul Gelisim University Futurism Club has organized the "Content Marketing Camp" between the dates March 30- April 1 which is 36 hours in total and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Semra Geçkin Onat. In the content marketing camp with the participation of 25 students selected from the New Media Department, the participants were divided in five groups and experienced an exciting process based on team spirit to create their projects.
 
Purpose of Content Marketing Camp: To Help Students Gain the "Creativity" 
 
Speaking at the end of the event, Onat said: "The aim of the 36-hour digital content marketing camp was to create an environment where students could unleash their creative aspects and realize them with team spirit and create ideas / content. They were asked to realize their ideas into a project/story throughout the camp. While doing this transformation, it was important for them to use the instruments/tools of new communication technologies and create their own content, projects and brands."
 
There are various methods and contents for storytelling and content marketing.
 
During the event, it was emphasized that storytelling and on-line content marketing could be done by using any one of presentation, video, Google advertising, website, blog, vlog methods or by using all of them. Digital marketing experts in the sector were invited and the students were provided with technical, software and ideas on design. At the end of the two-day camp, the groups presented their projects before a jury and were awarded along with certificates of participation.
 
At the end of the event which helped the participants to transform their dreams into ideas, to develop their creativity, to gain team spirit and to acquire content; the participants were presented with gifts and certificates of participation. And at the end, acknowledgements were made for Dean of Faculty of Economic, Administrative and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Izzet Gumus, Assistant Professor Dr. Semra Geckin Onat, Assistant Professor Dr. Eren Efe, Assistant Professor Dr. Umit Arat, Faculty Secretary Nilgun Yeniev, Istanbul Gelisim University Media Coordinator Saygı Ünlü, Digital Marketing Director of Anares Software Oğuzhan Ali and Web Developer Özgür Öztürk, and the janitors who took care of events and other people who took part in the organization.
 
They Won Recognition with Successful Projects
 
At the end of the event, the ranking of participants was as follows:
 
Merve Canan Karaağra, Kardelen Özyadınlık, Selinay Uzer, Merve Ceylan, Kaan Gönenç and Ahmet Arif Güzeldere have prepared "TIDDESTEK/ Online Sign Language Translation and Audio Description Service Platform" with the motto "Don't think Turkish, think as a TID" and it was awarded with first place by the jury.
 
Mete Ürgüp, Onur Tuna, Ceylan Güney, Onur Koçer, Çiğdem Yaman and Mert Şehitoğlu prepared the project named "Hand of Education" which brings together volunteers for scholarship and those who need scholarship and it was awarded with second place.
 
Zeynep Işık, Emrullah Sayılmaz, Sofia Şen and Umut Balcı prepared the project "It is Time for Home Made Dinner" "annemkampuste.com" (named by Saygı Ünlü) which brings together students and homemade dinners and it was awarded with third place.
 
Sıla Tuğçe Kaya, Canberk Kaya, Yağmur Ayrı and Ege Özdemir prepared the project "Do Not Throw Into Garbage- Recycle" with mottos "My view for future is definitely recycling" and "We are not old" and it was awarded with fourth place.
 
Esma Soyöz, Arda Akalın, Deniz Anık, Merve Nur Gokduman and Umut Karka prepared the project "TEYDO- Organization in Turkey to Support Life Without any Barriers" with motto "They also deserve to be on media", "They are among us" and "Become their chance", which aims to support the visibility of disabled individuals in the society and it was awarded with fifth place.
