Language, Thought and Literature Society, which was found by the students of Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences has organized a conference on 17.04.2018 at 11.00 in Gelisim Tower with the participation of Serdar Kabaklı, Chairman of the Turkish Literature Foundation. The event started with the presentation of the president of the student club Sevda Güneş and Serhat Kabaklı gave a speech titled "Foundations and Civilization of Foundations".
 

Kabaklı started his speech by emphasizing the place of foundations in Islamic civilization, and he continued by stating how the concept of the foundation was understood in the Ottoman Empire and how the foundation practices worked. The speech ended with Kabaklı explaining what the foundation is today and how the foundations work. Following his speech on the foundation, its historical origins and  current status, Kabaklı answered the questions from students.
 

University personnel and the students showed great interest in the talk and the event. The event open to all participants was ended by presenting a plate to the speaker.
