 Istanbul Gelisim University RTS Department Graduation Projects Met with the Audience

The graduation projects of the students from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences of Istanbul Gelisim University for the 2025–2026 academic year were showcased at the Barış Manço Cultural Center in Avcılar.

As part of the graduation projects, students produced a total of 22 works in the categories of short films and documentaries. The event became a significant occasion where the students’ long-term efforts were presented to the audience. The screening program, which began at 12:00 p.m., was attended by academics, students, families, and invited guests.

The projects, prepared under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Nisa Gülener Yıldırım, Assist. Prof. Dr. Erdem Türkavcı, Assist. Prof. Dr. Güler Canbulat, Assist. Prof. Dr. Aysun Kaya Deniz, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Selda Tunç Subaşı, enabled students to combine their theoretical knowledge with creative production processes.

Among the students whose works were featured in the screening were Alp Eren Çulha, Enes Dağlı, Mert Çemek, Sena Arslan, Perihan Özen, Sude Albayrak, Doğukan Tolu, Mükremin Yıldız, Bengisu Yıldırım, Tuğba Aktaş, Hüma Özcan, Baran Yerlikaya, Sümeyye Betül Karali, and Sarah Binti Haironnine.

The graduating students, who produced original works in the field of cinema and visual storytelling, brought social, cultural, and personal narratives to the screen by addressing a variety of themes through short films and documentaries. The screening program also held great significance as one of the first steps in their professional careers.

The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at Istanbul Gelisim University continues to connect its students with the industry and support their creative productions through its practice-oriented educational approach. The graduation project screening served as an important example of this vision, contributing to the students’ academic and artistic development.
