CIRIEC International is a respected international research network and non-governmental organization established to conduct scientific research, generate knowledge, and promote the dissemination of global best practices in the fields of public economy, social economy, and cooperatives.As an academic and strategic reference point for sectors that directly affect millions of people and generate billions of dollars in economic value worldwide, CIRIEC International continues its activities globally with more than 20 member countries. CIRIEC Türkiye, which represents the Turkish branch of this international structure, aims to contribute scientifically to the development of public, social, and cooperative economy in Türkiye. Within the scope of CIRIEC Türkiye, Istanbul Gelisim University continues to carry out national and international studies in this field with determination.
Conducting scientific research at the international level, CIRIEC International has established academic working groups consisting of 82 researchers from 28 countries around the world in order to analyze global dynamics across different fields.
Among these working groups, the “Gender and Social Economy” group brings together researchers from different countries to conduct internationally oriented research activities. Recognized as an important research area in terms of regional development and sectoral transformation, this group has accepted CIRIEC Türkiye National Committee Members and Istanbul Gelisim University academics Assistant Professor Aysun Kaya Deniz and Research Assistant Zehra Makar Çelik as researchers.
