The 9th of Istanbul Gelisim University Media Awards, which is traditionally held every year, took place on Thursday, June 9, 2022. The award ceremony held at the University's Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall was attended by the art, football and media community, while students had fun as they came together with industry doyens. At the award ceremony presented by the successful presenter Hilal Ergenekon, the Lifetime Honor Award was given to Orhan Gencebay, the Best Director Ali Eşitmez, and the Honorary Award to Adana Demirspor President Murat Sancak, and İhlas News Agency was selected as the Best News Agency. The awards were presented in 52 categories in total, by Chairman of the Board of Trustees Abdülkadir Gayretli, Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin and university lecturers. The Best Turkish Radio Channel category was also given to Alem FM by the Vice Head of the Department of Advertising and Communications Coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr. İpek Sucu.
