Dear Students and Prospective Students,
Welcome to our English Translation and Interpretation Department. In today's world, where science, technology, communication, and intercultural interaction are becoming increasingly important on a global scale, we aim to train qualified translators, conscious of the unifying power of language. Our department aims to equip our students with strong linguistic and analytical skills, as well as cultural awareness, ethical responsibility, and professional competence.
The need for qualified translators is growing every day for those aiming for careers in various fields such as trade, tourism, or international organizations. The ability to communicate accurately and effectively between languages often serves as a vital bridge between institutions, societies, and global audiences.
This program aims to train individuals who are competent in professional translation between English and Turkish. Our students learn to critically analyze texts, translate in accordance with accuracy and ethical principles, apply different translation strategies and types, and develop professional expertise in commercial, technical, literary, and promotional translation fields. The program places particular emphasis on conducting professional translation within the framework of ethical responsibilities and professional standards.
