International Trade Department faculty member Associate Professor Dr. Çiğdem Boz initiated a documentary called "Economist".

The documentary with the academic doyens aims to show the development of economics education and the occupation as an economist in Turkey through a historical lens. Cigdem Boz, who is both the director and screenwriter, thinks that this study can be considered as an attempt to create a “professional memory” and that it wants to emphasize the fact that economics is a social science by underlining the “intellectual” identity of economics and economist.

The documentary with important figures such as Prof. Dr. Tuncer Bulutay, Korkut Boratav, Oktar Türel, Fikret Şenses and Bilsay Kuruç, who have witnessed the transformation and who have dominated the field of economics, will be on screen in the middle of 2019.
