 Aviation Club Participated in Airshow Istanbul Event

A trip was organized with the participation of Aviation Club students within the scope of Airex - Aerospace Technologies Activities organized by Istanbul Gelisim University Health Culture and Sports Department (SKS) Aviation Club.
In Airshow Istanbul, where various workshops were held and the speakers were present, the students of the Aviation Club have met the experienced names in the sector and they had the opportunity to explore the parts of all vehicles by exploring various jets, aircraft and helicopters.

Airex - Aerospace Technologies is a business platform designed to serve the opportunities in the Eurasian market by focusing on the civilian aspect of the aviation industry. During the event, which was held under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Adnan Duygun, students had the opportunity to see and examine how the theoretical and practical knowledge in their classes was realized in practice. In this direction, the students have visited various stands and conducted meetings for the internship opportunity and listened to the sector experts.

Emphasizing that the main aim of the event is to increase students' knowledge, manners and skills, Adnan Duygun said: “It is very important for students to get in touch with the experts in this kind of activities. We organize this kind of events not only for Aviation Club students, but also for students who are enrolled in all aviation departments. Students had the opportunity to meet Sefa İnan, one of the prominent names in the sector, the opportunity to try various aircraft simulations and build contacts for internship.”

 IGU Board of Trustees Chairman Abdulkadir Gayretli said that the University gives great importance to aviation sector and aviation. He added: "Our school is one of the few ones recognized as a school in Turkey. We try to do our best to train qualified personnel in the sector by carrying out various investments for our aviation departments. We are in the status of a school recognized by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. We always encourage our students to organize such events.”
