The study named “Assessing the effects of flight delays, distance, number of passengers, and seasonality on revenue” of Assist. Prof. Dr. Murat Güven from Department of Economics and Finance at Istanbul Gelisim University has been scanned and accepted by SCI Expanded named Kybernetes.
In the study; the effects of flight delays, distance, number of passengers, and seasonality on revenue in the air transportation in Turkey have been analyzed. The study conducted together with the AMG (Augmented Mean Group) estimator and CCE (Common Correlated Effects Mean Group) estimator, and tested the results by two way fixed effects. The result of the study shows that there are positive effects of distance between the airports, the number of airline passengers and seasonality on revenue while there are negative impacts of the delay in the arrival and takeoff on revenue.
