 Sharing reduces anger

Istanbul Gelisim University Assistant Professor Dr. and Psychiatry Expert Onur Okan Demirci said that lack of anger management is one of the biggest problems in current ages and sharing reduces anger.
Due to the worsening of living conditions, economic difficulties, severe working conditions and weakening of social life, people have been unable to be self-sufficient. This inadequacy is increasing gradually and the anger threshold decreases, turning it control more difficult. When the human being as a social creature becomes less socialized, he/she starts to return to wild nature and a wild anger appears. Human nature tends towards the past, that is, to the primitive. The increase in anger, which is our most primitive impulse, is one of the strongest evidences of this tendency.

Istanbul Gelisim University Assistant Professor Dr. and Psychiatry Expert Onur Okan Demirci said that lack of anger management is one of the biggest problems in current ages and sharing reduces anger. He said: “With the emergence of anger in response to the possibility of another person hurting one, body prepares to escape or fight as a result of intense stimulation. Our brain causes this, then we control it through our brain. In other words, we can control our anger by thinking.”

"THROUGH ANGER, INDIVIDUALS PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM THEIR OWN INADEQUACY”

Psychiatry Expert Demirci said that extreme anger is a result to cover the self-inadequacy and sometimes defend the self. He continued: ”Are the situations we feel very angry the cases when we feel most vulnerable and the people who turn us mad are those who attack us with our greatest vulnerability? In order to cover up a situation, perhaps to cover the situation we do not feel well enough, we resort to violent outrage reactions in order to be able to accept the inadequacy and blame someone else. We can say that, through anger individuals protect themselves from their own inadequacy.”

"ANGER CAN TRANSFORM INTO INSANITY”

Psychiatry Expert Demirci said that appropriate levels of anger is a natural response which keeps people alive, but exceeding a certain dose may cause severe damages: "Sometimes this situation is called lack of anger management and control, and sometimes insanity. Lack of anger control may be the most important problem of our age. Only we can stop this. We should stop this in order to prevent it transforming to insanity.”

Psychiatry Expert Demirci said that there are various methods to control anger: "The first reason of anger control problem is weak socialization and therefore the ability to socialize must be increased. Sharing reduces both anger and pain. Methods such as regular exercise and nutrition, yoga, exploring inner peace such as meditation, psychological support, group psychotherapies, and individual psychotherapies provide the highest levels of ability to control anger.”
