Delegates from Uzbekistan visited Istanbul Gelisim University in order to strengthen cooperation in sports education under the chairmanship of Professor I A Tursunaliyev, Rector of the "Institute for Training and Skills Development of Specialists in Physical Education and Sports". During the visit, it was aimed to improve the cooperation between the two institutions and to increase the quality of education through the exchange of experience.

Advancing with the vision of "World University", Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) continues to create qualified projects and collaborations on a global scale with its national and international standards. Chairman of the Board of Trustees Abdulkadir Gayretli, Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Seyfettin Arda Ozturkcan participated in the meeting held with Uzbekistan delegates visiting IGU under the chairmanship of Rector Professor I. A. Tursunaliyev. The visit focused on the areas of cooperation between the two institutions.

Bilateral agreement signed

In order to strengthen cooperation, a bilateral agreement was signed at the meeting where the foundations of future joint ventures such as student and faculty exchange, sharing best practices in research and sports education were established; Uzbek delegates had the opportunity to visit Istanbul Gelisim University School of Physical Education and Sports after the official procedures. During the visit, the teams who examined the sports centers received information about the facilities and infrastructure of the university. The exchange of knowledge and experience between Istanbul Gelisim University and the institute in Uzbekistan is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of sports education in both countries.
