Gender Responsive Planning and Budgeting Project in Türkiye
The follow-up seminars of the Implementation of Gender Equality Sensitive Planning and Budgeting in Turkey project, which will end in December 2023, were held recently. Experiences and developments within the scope of the project were shared at the relevant seminar.
Starting on December 15, 2020, the project's financiers are the Directorate for EU Affairs and the United Nations, while the project beneficiary is the Ministry of Family and Social Services, Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Strategy and Budget Directorate. The main objective is to contribute to women's empowerment and gender equality in Turkey by providing a sustainable integration opportunity that will cover all stages of the policy-making and budgeting process at the local and national levels of the Directorate for EU Affairs.
In the follow-up seminars held in May 2023, pilot institutions selected within the scope of the project discussed their strategic plans and reports on their activities in the relevant period, and areas of responsive planning and budgeting were discussed.
