UN Report Finds Nature Conservation Funding Must Triple Globally This Decade

A new UN report released on Thursday highlights the need for the G20's leading industrialized countries to adopt an effective role in tackling climate change by aligning development and economic recovery with international nature and climate goals.

UN Environment Program (UNEP), the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Economics of Land Degradation Initiative introduced how economically developed states might better encourage nature-based solutions (NbS) in a jointly announced report on finance for nature.

It has been emphasized that G20 states -a group of states representing many of the world's most developed economies- must be able to tackle with substantial crises such as climate change, biodiversity and land degradation as well as promote sustainable agriculture and supply chains and initiatives such as creating green areas in cities to overcome increasing temperatures.
