The FEAS Student Quality Commission Met with “Student Quality Representatives”

The Student Quality Commission of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (FEAS) at Istanbul Gelişim University organized a “Meet and Consultation Meeting” with general representatives in order to disseminate the university’s quality culture at the grassroots level and ensure coordination with student representatives.

The meeting, held on December 2, 2025, was attended by Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Özlem Tuğçe Keleş, Asst. Prof. Burcu Savaş Çelik, Research Assistant Gökhan Özbilge, members of the FEAS Student Quality Commission, and FEAS general department representatives.

While the academic administration shared its evaluations regarding how quality assurance processes function from the students’ perspective, it also emphasized the importance of student representatives within the institutional structure.

The main implementation and briefing process of the event was conducted by Nazlıcan Bolahenk, Chair of the Student Quality Commission. In a comprehensive presentation covering the rationale behind the establishment of the Commission and its core objectives, Bolahenk explained—with detailed examples—the hierarchical system to be followed in resolving issues faced by students within the faculty and the critical role of the “Student Quality Ambassadorship” in this process. Emphasizing that prioritizing solution-oriented approaches over merely reporting problems is essential, Bolahenk also informed participants about the introductory event to be held on December 22, the planned workshop on academic dishonesty, and ongoing projects throughout the semester.

During the Q&A session, Chair of the Student Quality Commission Nazlıcan Bolahenk and members of the Quality Board responded to feedback from student representatives. At the meeting, where quality ambassadors presented issues and solution proposals related to their departments, the suggestions of the Quality Club President were also taken into consideration.

This meeting was recorded as an important step toward strengthening FEAS’s student-centered quality management system and reinforcing communication bridges between academic units and students.
